T.J. Stone’s in Alexandria’s Old Town North features American comfort foods coupled with an internationally focused beer and wine list. The combination suits neighborhood regulars just fine, who flock to T.J. Stone’s for the casual ambiance, reliable menu, and friendly service.
Located not far from The Kingsley, this off-the-beaten-path restaurant is divided into two sections: The Tap Room operates primarily as a sports bar, with multiple flat screen televisions, happy hour specials, and a livelier atmosphere. On the other side, you’ll find the Grill Room, a spacious dining room with a roaring fireplace that’s more suited to a family dinner or quiet conversation. When the weather gets nice, T.J. Stone’s opens a pleasant little patio area to the mix.
As for the menu, Yelp reviewers particularly recommend the Gouda tater tots and the pulled pork sandwich, paired with your choice from the impressive beer list (12 rotating drafts and hundreds in bottles and cans) or selection of wines by the glass or by the bottle).
