One reviewer on Yelp describes Vaso’s Kitchen as “some of the best Greek food I’ve had in the area,” and he’s not alone in this sentiment. In fact, if you plan to visit this Alexandria restaurant during the lunch hour, you’ll find that it’s important to arrive early if you want to avoid a wait, as this place fills up quickly!
Regulars recommend that you consider starting your meal with a bowl of traditional lemon chicken soup, then move onto your main dish. You’ll find simple, casual options, like a gyro sandwich filled with spiced meat and slivered onions, or you can order one of the restaurant’s more elaborate dishes, like baked moussaka or the veal special topped with an herbed cream sauce.
Make note, The Kingsley: Vaso’s Kitchen may look ultra-casual from the outside, but inside, you’ll find that many patrons are slightly dressed up, and the tables are covered in white linen tablecloths.
