Building on the successes of its Herndon pour room, local brewery Aslin Beer has recently opened up a new taproom to accompany its expanded brewing operation in Alexandria. Located on South Pickett not far from Lehigh Pond, the new space is enormous and modern, with high ceilings, plenty of seating, arcade games, and flat-screen televisions that broadcast whatever game is on. Food trucks are on-site from noon to 9 p.m. every day, with expanded menus soon to come. Most importantly, you’ll find a list of dozens of rotating brews on tap, some of them experimental and not yet available outside the walls of the facility. Sample the beers on offer, and if you’d like to take some home with you, be sure to stop in the merchandise room on your way out.
Street and lot parking spots are plentiful in the area, and the Van Dorn metro stop is a short walk away.
